19 of Medvedev's 21 victories have been achieved on hard courts
A revitalized Medvedev won his maiden trophy for nearly 30 months with victory over opponent Moutet in the tournament championship match.
The athlete, a ex- number one, has had a challenging period, achieving just one win at the major tournaments and suffering a meltdown at the US Open.
His unpredictability on the professional circuit - and struggles with his serve in particular - caused him exiting of the elite rankings and eventually parting ways with long-term coach Cervara.
Now collaborating with Thomas Johansson and Goetzke, he has steadily progressed in the past month - climaxing in a closely contested 7-5 4-6 6-3 victory over Frenchman Moutet.
This marks Medvedev's maiden championship following the 2023 Rome Masters and first on a hardcourt since spring of 2023.
The win also indicates he has secured 21 victories at 21 distinct events.
"This marks the first occasion I am participating in a event with my two daughters together, so to secure a championship is especially meaningful," commented world number 14 Medvedev.
"This championship is in honour of my second daughter her name, because the initial championship I won when my child her name was delivered was for her."
The tennis star, the past champion, had been defeated in his last six championship matches, featuring in Halle earlier this year.
Medvedev's defensive strategy and regular reactions on the playing surface had prompted some to wonder if his skill to play at the elite level was over.
Yet the 29-year-old has made changes in recent weeks, striving to come to the net and play positively, supported by an improved serve.
Medvedev recovered from a break down in the first set against the difficult opponent, winning four of the final five points to go ahead.
The competitors swapped service breaks in the middle set before the Frenchman, bidding for his maiden ATP Tour victory, seized the initiative to create a decider.
Moutet defended four early opportunities in a competitive deciding set before Medvedev broke to that score to close out the victory.
Fittingly, Medvedev earned the title with a shot at the front of the court, with his opponent failing to handle a return after a lengthy match.
